Mr. Lye was appointed to the Board of Karyon Industries Berhad on May 12, 2009. He is also a member of Audit Committee, Nomination Committee and Remuneration Committee.
Mr. Lye graduated with a Bachelor of Business, Accountancy from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University in Australia. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, CPA Australia and Malaysian Institute of Taxation.
Mr. Lye started his career as an audit assistant with local and multinational audit firms from 2000 to 2004. He joined Flextronics Technology (M) Sdn Bhd in 2004 as an accountant and later was promoted as senior accountant. His principal role was to supervise the financial accounting section of the department and liaise with auditors and tax agent.
Presently, he is a partner of an audit firm, G.K.Lye & Co, which was set up by himself since year 2007. Mr. Lye is the Approved Company Auditor under Companies Act, 1965 and also License Tax Agent under Income Tax Act 1967.
